Get ready for an epic kayaking tour that’s way more than just a paddle in Resurrection Bay, the fjord nearest Seward. We’re here to make sure you have an unforgettable experience from start to finish!
We’ll pick you up from our Seward Harbor location, and take you on a fun, narrated tour of Seward’s waterfront and historic downtown. Then, we’ll cruise down Lowell Point Road to our private launch beach.
Once we get there, you’ll meet our friendly guides, gear up with all the essentials, and get a quick rundown on kayaking and safety basics. After that, it’s time to hit the water! You’ll explore the beautiful shoreline of Resurrection Bay and our State Recreation Area.
When you’re done soaking up the scenery, your driver-guide will be ready to take you back to Seward. On the way, we’ll give you some awesome tips on where to eat, what to do, and other places to check out. We’ll drop you off at our Small Boat Harbor office, with memories of an amazing day on the water.

Join us for a kayaking trip in Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. Our driver guide will share Seward stories as we head to the kayaking spot. We'll travel on Lowell Point Road to a private beach with stunning views. After a quick briefing with your kayak guides, we'll kayak and may see sea otters, seals, eagles, and salmon. We might also walk along Tonsina Creek to see a salmon spawning stream. Perfect for first-timers or those with limited time.

Mornings are often calm making this a favorite kayak trip for families. Children 8 and up are welcome on this paddle. All paddlers will be in two-person kayaks, and children under 14 must be paired with an adult. Afternoons tend to be breezier than mornings, especially on sunny days.

Resurrection Bay Waterfall & Rainforest Adventure
This is your opportunity for us to show you first-hand the beauty of Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. While making our way to our kayaking location, learn about life in Seward, both past and present, from your driver guide, who will narrate as we make our way through town. As we leave the paved streets of Seward, we’ll travel along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay on the gravel surface of Lowell Point Road. We’ll view turquoise blue waters and beautiful mountain vistas while we travel comfortably by van to our private beach.
Upon reaching our launch location, you’ll meet your kayaking guides for a trip briefing before heading out onto the water. We'll paddle the shoreline surrounded by mountains and glacial vistas, gliding through the waters, and looking for the graceful movements of the harbor porpoise or the industrious sea otters diving for their lunch. We'll go ashore and explore our local temperate rainforest, looking for waterfalls along the way. This excursion includes hot drinks and a hearty snack. Children 8 and up are welcome to kayak with an adult in our two-person kayaks.

This family-friendly fully guided sea kayaking and waterfall viewing combo trip is perfect for those who would like time to relax in their surroundings searching for beautiful waterfalls. On this trip, we commonly encounter sea otters, sea birds, bald eagles, and leaping salmon.

This is your chance to experience the beauty of Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. Learn about Seward's history from your guide as we drive through town. Then, we'll travel by van to our private beach, enjoying the stunning views along the way. After a briefing from our kayak guides, we'll paddle along the shoreline, admiring the mountains and glaciers. Keep an eye out for harbor porpoises and sea otters. Join us for a firsthand look at Seward, Lowell Point, and Resurrection Bay. Learn about Seward's history as we drive through town. Travel comfortably by van to our private beach, enjoying the stunning views along the way. This active adventure combines hiking and sea kayaking. Keep an eye out for wildlife and birds as we paddle along the shoreline. If time permits, we'll hike to Fort McGilvray. Kids 12 and up can kayak with an adult.

This challenging adventure provides a great opportunity to combine both hiking and sea kayaking for those looking for an active day of adventure.
While kayaking we'll watch for sea otters, sea lions, porpoises, eagles, and sea birds. If time allows, our day will include a hike up to Fort McGilvray, an abandoned subterranean World War II military fort.
